Legal
Privacy, in plain English
We build websites. We are not in the business of collecting data about people.
This page tells you what we collect when you use conicpro.com, why, where it is kept, and how to get it changed or deleted.
Last updated:
The short version
- We collect only what you send us in a form or an email, plus the standard visit logs every web server keeps.
- No cookies. No ad trackers. No scripts from other companies.
- We never sell, rent or trade your information.
- Sending a form doesn’t put you on a mailing list.
- To see, fix or delete what we hold about you, email hello@conicpro.com.
Who we are
This site is run by the ConicPro team: the developers and designers who build the sites. We are based in Serbia. The ConicPro team is the party responsible for the personal information described on this page.
Contact for anything about privacy: hello@conicpro.com.
What we collect
That is all. We don’t buy data about you, look you up in data brokers’ lists, or build a profile of you.
Our forms stop spam bots with a hidden field, a timer and a limit on how many forms one connection can send per hour. There is no CAPTCHA and nothing is sent to another company to check you.
Please don’t send passwords, card numbers or health details through our forms. When a project starts, we’ll agree on a safe way to share logins.
Our demo sites
The sites under /demo/ are concept projects for made-up businesses. Their forms are there so you can try them on your phone.
What you type into a demo form is not saved and not sent to anyone. Still, there’s no need to use real details there.
What we use it for
- To reply to you and send the audit or quote you asked for.
- To do the work you hired us for and to look after your site.
- To send invoices and keep business records.
- To keep this site secure and free of spam.
We don’t use your information for advertising. We don’t make automated decisions about you. A person reads every message.
Our legal reasons for using it
Privacy laws differ from place to place. We apply the same standard to everyone, wherever you live. In plain words, we use your information because:
- You asked us to. You sent a form or an email and want an answer, an audit or a quote. For visitors from Canada, this is your consent, and you can take it back at any time by emailing us.
- We have an agreement with you. If you are a client, we need your details to do the work and to bill you.
- The law requires it. We have to keep invoices and accounting records.
- We have a fair business reason. Keeping server logs and blocking spam protects the site and everyone who uses it. We keep this to the minimum.
- You gave clear permission. This applies only to things like a mailing list, if we ever start one. You can withdraw permission at any time.
If you are in the UK or the EU, these match the legal bases in the GDPR: steps before a contract, contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests and consent. If you are in the US, the short version is: we use your information only for the reason you gave it to us.
Where your information is kept
- Website, form messages and server logs: on our web hosting account with Hostinger.
- Email, including a copy of every form message: with our email provider.
- Who can read it: only the two people at ConicPro. We read and answer messages from Serbia.
Hostinger and our email provider store and process data for us under their own data protection terms. They may do this in countries other than yours.
Form messages are saved in a file that can’t be reached from the web. The whole site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
No system is perfect. If something ever goes wrong and your information is affected, we will tell you.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries and audit requests: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted. If you become a client, they become part of your client record.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, and after that for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Server logs: kept for a limited time by our hosting company, then deleted.
- Sooner, if you ask. Email us and we’ll delete what we aren’t legally required to keep.
Emails from us
Sending a form doesn’t sign you up for anything. We reply about what you asked for, and may follow up on that same conversation. That’s it.
If we ever start a newsletter, you will only get it if you clearly sign up for it, and every email will have a one-click way out.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- show you what we hold about you and send you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information
- stop using it, or use it less
- take back a permission you gave earlier
To do any of this, email hello@conicpro.com from the address you used with us. It’s free. We reply within 1 business day and finish the job within one month.
We may ask a question or two to make sure we’re talking to the right person. We will never treat you differently for using these rights.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the privacy regulator where you live: your national data protection authority in the EU or UK, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. In Serbia, where we are based, it is the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.
Websites we build for clients
When we build or look after a client’s website, the information that site collects belongs to the client, not to us. We touch it only as far as the work requires, and only on the client’s instructions.
Each client is responsible for their own site’s privacy policy.
Children
This site is for business owners. It isn’t aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If you believe a child has sent us their details, email us and we’ll delete them.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle information, we update this page and the date at the top. If the change is a big one, we’ll say so in a note at the top of this page.
We won’t use information you already gave us in a new way without telling you first.
