We publish this list because the fastest way to lose a customer’s trust is an invoice for something they thought was included. None of these are in any package.

What the first year really costs

The build price isn’t the whole bill. A website also needs a domain name and hosting, and those keep costing a little every year.

Both are bought in your own name and paid straight to the provider, not to us. We set them up for you. Here’s the math, so you can budget for all of it.

From year two, the build is paid for. You’re left with the domain and hosting, about $135 to $375 a year, plus a care plan if you want one.

Domain and hosting figures are typical prices, not quotes. Your provider sets them. The build figures are “from” prices; your written quote has the exact number. Local SEO setup is already inside the Business price.

SEO health monitoring means we catch errors and broken links. It is not an SEO campaign, and it doesn’t come with ranking promises.

What counts as an edit?

Edits are the small jobs that keep a site current. Standard includes up to 2 hours of them a month, and Pro up to 5 hours.

Extra work is $50/hour, and you always get an estimate first. On Basic, all edits are billed this way.

    The same three packages, for a business that already has a site. We move your content to WordPress, keep your domain and email working, and point every old page address to its new one, so Google and your old links still land in the right place.

  • Landing page from $600

    One page with one goal, built for a Google Ads or Facebook campaign or a single offer. It has a form, click-to-call, and tracking in Google Analytics that shows how many visitors called or sent the form. Delivered in about 1 week. A low-risk way to try us out.

  • Local SEO setup $400, one time

    Google Business Profile setup or clean-up, code that tells Google your business details (schema markup), the same name, address and phone across the main directories, service and location page structure, and a review link with a QR code. Included free in the Business package.

Local SEO setup is a foundation, not a monthly campaign. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings, and we don’t.

Emergency fixes

You’ve probably seen the offer: nothing up front, then a monthly fee for as long as you want a website. It’s a fair deal for some businesses. Here is how the numbers compare with owning.

Rented plans usually bundle hosting and updates into the monthly fee. To keep this fair, our side includes hosting and a Basic care plan too.

Higher-priced rented plans often include things we don’t offer, such as monthly SEO or unlimited edits. Compare what’s inside the fee, not just the fee.

What the numbers say: the cheapest rented sites cost less in cash over three years than owning with a care plan. We won’t pretend otherwise. Around the middle of that range and above, owning costs less.

Look after the site yourself instead of taking a care plan, and owning comes to $1,905 to $2,625 over the same three years.

The real difference isn’t the total. It’s what you have when the payments stop. With a rented site, you usually have nothing to take with you. With ours, you have a website.

Rented-website prices are the typical range we see advertised, not a quote from any one company. Our figures use the “from” price and typical hosting and domain costs.

Pricing questions, straight answers

Is the price really fixed?

Yes. Before you pay anything, you get a written quote with the price and the exact list of what’s included. That price doesn’t change unless you ask for something that isn’t on the list.

If you do, we quote the extra first and you decide. The “from” prices on this page are starting points; the number on your quote is the fixed one.

What if I need more pages?

Starter covers up to 5 pages and Business covers up to 15 pages. Each extra page is $150, added to your quote before we start.

Do you want a page for every service and every area you cover, plus booking and Local SEO setup? Then Business usually makes more sense than a stretched Starter.

Do you write the text?

The text starts with you, because nobody knows your business better. We send a short checklist so you’re not staring at a blank page.

Business includes copy editing, which means we polish what you give us. If you’d rather hand it over, we’ll write a page from your notes for $120 per page.

What about hosting and the domain name?

They’re not in the package price, because they should be in your name and not ours. Typical costs are in the “Not included” list above.

We set both up for you. If you already have a domain, you keep it, and we keep your email working through the move.

What if I want to stop partway through? Do I get a refund?

Cancel before we start work and your first payment is refunded in full. Once work has started, the first payment is non-refundable, because it covers the time we reserved and the work done so far.

If the work completed is worth more than that payment, we invoice the difference at $50 an hour, never more than the agreed fixed price. You receive everything that has been completed and paid for. The full rules are under “If a project is canceled” in our terms.

Can I cancel a Care Plan?

Yes. Month-to-month. No long-term contract. Change or cancel with 30 days’ notice. Your site keeps running on your own hosting. You take over the updates, or hand them to someone else.

Do you take over sites you didn’t build?

Yes, if the site runs on WordPress. We start with a free onboarding check, then put it on a Care Plan.

One-off fixes for a site that’s down, slow or hacked are also available, at a fixed price agreed before we start. If your site is on Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy or Weebly, we can move it to WordPress as a redesign project.

I’m in Canada. What currency do you invoice in?

US dollars, the same as for US clients. If you pay from a Canadian-dollar account, your bank converts it at its own rate that day. The USD amount on your quote doesn’t change.

Why do you cost less than a US agency?

There are two of us, so you’re not paying for account managers or a sales team.
